Fire Hill.
Oil and fire are present in the whole Azerbaijan but especially in the peninsula of Asheron. When oil is spread on the hot mud of a "mud volcano", it evaporates and the produced gas awaits only the occasion to ignite. When nature does not work spontaneously, the inhabitants light readily the gas which escapes from the ground or the surface of a body of water.
